Bill of material items

What is meant by Bill of material items?

A BOM item is a product that consists of several individual components or sub-assemblies. The BOM defines the exact composition of the item, including the quantity and type of components required. BOM items are often used in the manufacturing industry, trade and logistics to manage and produce complex products.
