An up-to-date virus protection is a "must have" on every computer, because in the absence of virus protection, the computer can be infected within seconds via the Internet (or when importing software via data carriers) and thus, on the one hand, programs and data of the infected computer can be destroyed and, on the other hand, the computer itself can become part of a criminal bot network unnoticed, which can be misused for attacking foreign Internet servers.
