Database server: MS SQL Server from 2008r2 (32/64 bit) Other: from Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0/3.5 (installed during setup) Microsoft Windows Installer from version 3.1 (installed during setup) Microsoft Data Access (MDAC) from version 2.70 (installed by the setup) IIS (Internet Information Services) from version 5.2 Application server (for server operating system) Recommendations Server Processor: Dual-core Memory: 8 GB Microsoft SQL Server We recommend using Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or 2014 and the corresponding Express editions as the database, as these run reliably, have been extensively tested and can be operated with little maintenance effort. Our product is developed using the latest Microsoft technology to ensure the best possible performance and compatibility with other Microsoft products. Different Office versions For different Office versions, the compatibility package must be installed with Office 2003. Security The log-in is password-protected (128-bit coded). If the log-in is successful, a unique access key is generated for the client, which is used by the client for further server access. A server component call is only possible with this key and within the application. Component calls are made either via “http” or “https”. The web server or component/database server should be behind the firewall.
