What is TRIC?
For the success of a construction project, it is essential that there is an unambiguous exchange of information for tendering, awarding and invoicing between all parties involved in the construction. The basis for this is VOB Part C (DIN 18386) and DIN EN ISO 16484-3, or VDI 3814-1 Building Automation (GA).
TRIC supports specialist planners in the manufacturer-neutral planning of HVAC systems and in the accurate billing of the project. In collaboration with Professor Dr. Baumgarth from the Braunschweig/ Wolfenbüttel University of Applied Sciences, a tool was developed that maps the VOB guidelines.
Contractors can add their own articles and create both the M+W planning and the handover documentation from TRIC. The basis for TRIC is BricsCAD®. With a user-friendly interface and a wide range of functions, TRIC supports you in the efficient planning and implementation of your GA projects. The features of the software can be called up via a pull-down menu or via a toolbox with icons.
TRIC BASIC version
The TRIC Basic version is suitable for users who only need to create a few system diagrams and do not need to use automatic functions (e.g. for the automatic printout of entire projects).
TRIC BASIC includes the following functions:
- Project management
- Management of drawings according to GAEB hierarchy
- DIN A4 and DIN A3 sheet sizes possible
- Memo field for system change information as long text.
- Block library with more than 10,400 symbols according to DIN 19226, 19227, VDI 3814, DIN 1946, VDI 3813.
- Reference objects for setting up your own project standards in accordance with DIN EN ISO 16484-3 12/2005, VDI 3814, status 03/93, 10/95, 05/99, 11/2009 and the RA after 05/2011.
- Own libraries can be easily managed using a 3-part division: "Library - Groups - Pages"
- High usability for programming the block automation
- Automatic generation of the function list, free sorting of the devices in the list
- Data and graphic export functions
- Automatic printing of the automation diagram and the info list of a drawing
- Assignment of function codes for the generation of addressing keys
- I/O bar for displaying the physical inputs and outputs
- Article table with manufacturer-independent TRIC articles, can be extended as required.
- Cable master data selectable from pull-down menu
- Precise naming of the composition of the functions for the entries in the function list, e.g. fault and operating message instead of just the entry "2"
- Assignment of articles to the field device
- Any number of technical data. Can be assigned to each article and field device, e.g. performance data and cable connection data.
- 370 system diagrams from the Siemens building automation planning manual and 120 automation diagrams from the DTS planning manual - examples of AMEV addressing keys, CHPs, status graph in accordance with VDI 3814-6
TRIC PRO version
The PRO version is suitable for projects with more than 20 automation schemes per month.
The BASIC version features are supplemented by additional functions:
- Automatic printing of complete projects with all hierarchy levels
- Generation of cover sheets, table of contents and summary sheets across all hierarchy levels
- Automatic graphic and data export across all hierarchy levels
- Prerequisite for the COMPLETE module for Excel-like editing of a complete project in order to clearly edit function list contents, product assignment, addressing keys as well as I/O strips and cable information for a complete project.
