Novel analysis technologies that support automated knowledge extraction from Internet pages for content-related forms of advertising enable targeting for contextual advertising or semantic targeting.
Context-sensitive advertising in online marketing is made possible by the contentDetection software. This is done by using modern crawler technology to visit the pages on the web where the advertising is placed. The content of the page is examined with its semantic meaning. The result of the analysis is, on the one hand, a thematic assessment according to categories. On the other hand, the most accurate keywords, phrases and product names are determined.
This enables the user to generate context-sensitive advertising banners that contain products matching the page content. Furthermore, topic-related links are possible, be it detailed category links on different levels (e.g. winter sports/snowboards) or search links (e.g. Burton Bullet, F2 Silberpfeil, Softboot, snowboard pants). It is also possible to automatically tag content in order to create user profiles for behavioral targeting, for example. The analysis techniques are based on self-learning techniques. This makes it possible to perform category and keyword recognition that is precisely tailored to the user's own product range.

Here, on the one hand, the thematic relevance of the page is analyzed, and on the other hand, the bid price for the possible keywords. As an additional refinement, it is possible to generate relevance through local advertising (content localization, geotargeting). Currently, the technology is available for German, English, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and French. Other European languages as well as Chinese can also be enabled by training on your data.
