Discover IRI FACT™, a powerful tool for parallel extraction of very large database tables (VLDB) from Oracle, DB2, UDB, MS SQL Server, Sybase, MySQL, Greenplum, Teradata, Altibase, and Tibero.
FACT enables the rapid creation of transportable flat files using straightforward job scripts supported in a familiar Eclipse GUI. FACT's impressive speed is based on native connection protocols and proprietary split query logic that can extract billions of rows in just minutes.
Although FACT is stand-alone and application-independent, it harmonizes seamlessly with other programs and platforms. It generates metadata for data definition files (.DDF) on demand, which can be used by IRI CoSort and compatible data management and protection tools to process the flat files. FACT also automatically creates configuration files for loading databases for the same source.
FACT is also an optional, seamless integration with the IRI Voracity ETL and data management platform.
Accelerated data collection: Experience up to 7x acceleration with FACT using parallel query technology. Performance scales linearly, enabling the extraction of billions of rows in minutes.
Multiple databases, one unloader: FACT works harmoniously with Oracle, MySQL, DB2 UDB, Sybase, SQL Server and other databases. You can create simple job scripts manually or generate them automatically in the user-friendly GUI of the IRI Workbench, which is based on Eclipse™.
Data accessible to all: FACT generates flat files that can be used by any application. Add ETL operations and offline reorganizations, archive data, migrate databases and much more.
In this section you will learn more about FACT and why it is better than other unloading tools and methods. See what role FACT plays in data integration (ETL), database acceleration and database migration.
