One of the advantages of Engineering Base is its sophisticated change management. Any change in any representation of the changed object shows up immediately without waiting or synchronization. This ensures the greatest possible consistency of overall documentation.

The corresponding data model in Engineering Base also marks the highest level of digitization. Unlike storage in PDFs or DWGs, the model enables direct editing of all individual data. This increases their up-to-dateness and thus their value - entirely in the sense of Industry 4.0.

In addition to the parallelization of all core disciplines of plant engineering, the cooperative platform Engineering Base is also open for bidirectional connections of systems such as 3D, PLM or ERP. Once again, the universal model pays off here, as only one interface is required in each case. Numerous integrations are already proven practice. Basic Engineering (including FEED)

The universal data model creates seamless consistency in plant design: It starts with the initial overview flowsheet. Using the FEED function, the results from simulations from Aspen and similar tools can be imported. Immediately, PDFs and worksheets take over the results of the calculations. From the rough flow diagram to the material balance, Engineering Base then automatically shows all the consequences of each desired scenario - each in a separate document.

Process Engineering

In process design, numerous user-friendly functions facilitate the development of the P&I scheme, for example through modular design. Lists and reports are generated automatically. In addition, there is pipe class-related workflow and rule-based design. If FEED was used in basic engineering, process design "only" has to complete its specifications in the scenario that was selected and commissioned.

Detail Engineering

Instrumentation, circuit diagram creation, wiring, terminal assignment, control cabinet design, I/O definitions, in short: the entire infrastructure of everything that makes a plant functional has been a core competence of our company for over 30 years. Moreover, the control system configuration is considerably accelerated: with automated transfer of engineering data to the programming of any common control system, even in parallel to different systems.

Cause & Effect

Before commissioning, a plant is put through its paces using cause & effect documents. This phase particularly benefits from the uniform data model. Engineering Base draws from it all the necessary logic specifications of each individual discipline and creates the report matrix automatically. This ensures unprecedented consistency and saves both important engineering capacity and a great deal of time.

Plant Operation

The platform rounds off its consistency principle with support for plant operation. On the one hand, it offers web-based maintenance functions with more mobility and quality, on the other hand, a special management of change measures for larger conversion and expansion projects. The orderly and exceptionally consistent feedback of the new data into the updated as-built project is guaranteed.
