Version: 20
The powerful CAD software BricsCAD® is available in four different versions (Lite/Pro/BIM/Mechanical) at extremely attractive prices, which are compatible with Windows and Linux as well as MAC. Each version varies in functionality and price. The development of BricsCAD® was based on proven functions of current software solutions. However, over the years BricsCAD® has grown far beyond compatibility with other programs. The software is characterized by a high degree of compatibility with other programs and allows the use of the same file formats (.DWG - .DXF), such as for printer and plotter definitions and line types.
BricsCAD® works directly in .dwg format, which is a widely used CAD format. The additional "Communicator®" module is available for data exchange with other systems, which can be used to import and export IGES or CNC formats, for example.
As a .dwg-based CAD system, BricsCAD® is one of the most powerful and fastest solutions on the market. The user-friendliness of the software is also outstanding. For example, the so-called manipulator makes it easy to rotate, mirror and move any 2D or 3D object.
All dialog boxes and tools can be hidden with a single keystroke. This function allows the user to concentrate fully on the current design while editing it with the configurable quad cursor.
A complete toolbox for mechanical engineering, completely in .dwg. With the power of 3D direct modeling, you can design and assemble freely.
In the CAD software (BricsCAD® Pro and higher), the direct 3D modeling of objects can be implemented in an extremely user-friendly way. The software also offers innovative functions such as 3D Compare, which can be used to compare existing components with one another. Functions for generating drawing views, motion navigation, parametric dependencies, support for photometric lighting and an extensive selection of over 800 standard parts for dynamic BKS are also available.
The design of sheet metal parts, which is possible in BricsCAD® Mechanical, is also one of the strengths of the software. Edges, tabs, curves and notches can be created easily. The finished modeled sheet metal parts can be unrolled and it is possible to output them with the corresponding manufacturing information in .dwg or .dxf format for CAM.
BricsCAD thus serves as the leading CAD software for many professional groups:
Architects, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, construction, geodesy, spatial planning, pipeline construction
For developers of industry solutions, the development tools are free of charge and development support is free of charge. There are now more than 900 applications available on BricsCAD. 380 of them in Germany alone.
