Our company is at home in the automotive supply industry. As part of the continuous improvement process, we are also constantly thinking about how we can optimize our processes. We want to introduce standardized software in all of our plants, with which we can significantly simplify day-to-day business.
Master data is maintained in a separate database by an employee, as no correct master data is stored in the ERP system. Initially, no interface to PSIpenta is desired. However, an interface is to be implemented at a later date, via which the current occupancy unit list is generated.
We have the following general requirements for an electronic production board for situation analysis:
- Application languages: German, Czech, Chinese
- Naming options for cost centers (cost center before the name of the booking unit)
- Entries / bookings should be able to be made by employees (with stamp key)
- Entries should be rights-controlled
- Entries should be able to be made in parallel at several terminals
- Initially, no interface to the ERP is required. At a later date, however, an interface is to be implemented via which the current occupancy unit list is generated.
Processes:
Step 1 - Selecting the data
- Enter the name (no auto-completion)
- Selection of the date
- The default setting is the current date
- It is not possible to select dates in the future
Select the shift with the options F = early shift, S = late shift, N = night shift
Multi-level selection of booking units with dependency (sorting AZ)
- Production group (selection from master data database)
- Cost center - occupancy unit designation (selection from master database)
- Specification of the validity class per machine. If a machine is relocated, it is set to inactive and is therefore invisible during selection.
- All validity classes are visible in the history view. As soon as a machine is relocated, it can no longer be selected, but is still stored in the history as a cost center - booking unit
- It must be possible to select the cost centers to be visualized at any time
Article (selection from master data database)
Drawing number (automatic selection by selected article, validity see 4.b) - For reasons of simplification, the old drawing number should continue to run during the transition period between two drawing numbers

Step 2 - Entering the quantity
- Enter the respective quantity for:
- Number of pieces
- Automatic calculation of how many parts iO
- Plausibility check whether total quantity > scrap etc.
Enter comment
- Mandatory entry: Contains rework Yes / No
- Field for additional free text
- Display feedback window with all entered figures in the overview (optional: Compliance % limit speedometer for immediate feedback)
- Remarks field is required for traceability (two 5-digit fields)
Step 3 - Enter availability & usage
- Check whether intervals are adhered to
- Coordinate measuring machine measurements (select Yes / No)
- If yes -> continue to step 3.1.2
- If no -> enter a reason (mandatory) -> continue to step 3.1.2
Other test and measurement specifications (select Yes / No)
- If yes -> continue to step 3.1.3
- If no -> enter a reason (mandatory) -> continue to step 3.1.3
Daily maintenance/ cleaning performed (select Yes / No)
- If yes -> continue to step 3.2
- If no -> enter a reason (mandatory) -> continue to step 3.2
Selection of availability & use by error key
- Availability (contents via selection list)
- Usage (content via selection list)
- Automatic detection of whether availability or usage
Feedback window with overview of selection made and data entered. If nothing has been entered, You have not entered any data is displayed. A confirmation button takes you to the next step.
- Reason for downtime / details in minutes are calculated automatically based on the data entered
- Downtimes should be recorded and visualized
- Feedback window Thank you. Your data has been entered"
- Display of a New entry button, whereupon you return to step 1 and enable a new entry.
Step 4 - Evaluation in various use cases:
- Situation analysis, weekly evaluation, monthly evaluation, trend of the last few days
- Standard display for situation analysis:
- Query: How many days in the past should be displayed (multi-tab)
- Default is 1 day with 95% target quantity
Selection of production group (from master data)
- Enter target data in master data DB for article
- Comparison target-actual with conditional formatting
- iO parts: Actual < target = red
- iO parts: target < actual = green
- It must be possible to visualize the target quantity
Table: Date, booking unit, article description, shift, ...

We favour cooperation with one of the software manufacturers mentioned, provided that the software can be adapted as desired within the scope of customizing. Furthermore, we are concentrating our research on IT developers who have completed similar projects.
