What is meant by GoBD?

The "GoBD" stands for "Principles for the proper keeping and storage of books, records, and documents in electronic form as well as for data access". It is a regulation issued by the Federal Ministry of Finance in Germany that sets out the legal requirements for electronic accounting and data processing. The GoBD specify how electronic business transactions should be recorded, processed, stored, and archived to ensure the immutability, completeness, traceability, and availability of accounting data.
