LF CONSULT GmbH, based in Stuttgart, is a spin-off of the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology and Automation and was founded by Pit Löllmann and Ulrich Färber in 2002. We are a consulting and software company with a high level of expertise in the areas of organizational development and agile software development, and we provide a powerful software for capacity planning. Our goal is to measurably increase transparency, efficiency and adherence to schedules for our customers in the industrial and service sectors by means of lean planning solutions and processes. With this goal in mind, we have continuously and solidly developed and firmly established ourselves in the market. The independence of an owner-managed company enables us to focus entirely on our customers and to strive for the best solution. Meanwhile, more than a hundred customers from the service and production sectors across industries rely on our solutions. Our production system PIT (Produce in Ticks) makes it possible for the first time to exploit the advantages of flow orientation for productions with different work contents and complex material flows.
The focus of cycle-oriented planning is on synchronizing and timing work packages across the relevant resources of the company. In a higher-level planning, basic dates are specified on the basis of the defined cycles, within which the teams carry out their sequence planning and processing of the orders independently.
The organizational approach is supported by the use of the 3Liter-PPS, the ingeniously simple planning software that carries out capacity-checked scheduling and makes the processing status within the cycles transparent.
